Bethany Merritt is a jazz vocalist and educator based in Nashville, Tennessee. Her smooth song styling is richly nuanced - cheeky yet ethereal, pure but commanding. Bethany is an Adjunct Instructor of Music at Lipscomb University and Nashville State Community College, where she directs a vocal jazz ensemble and teaches private voice lessons. Bethany travels nationwide with her husband and singer/songwriter Bryce Merritt, performing his original pop music and her modern jazz arrangements.
After earning her Bachelor’s in Commercial Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance from Belmont University, Bethany began working on Mackinac Island, Michigan as the vocalist at the Grand Hotel. There, she fronted a band nightly, performing a wide variety of music while honing her speciality in jazz. In May of 2017, Bethany earned her Masters of Music in Jazz Performance as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Northern Colorado.
